The Forum for Strategic Studies (FORST) organized a podium discussion on the topic “Serbia’s foreign policy in the world in turmoil” at the multicongress of think tanks Serbian Visions 2019.
The discussion was held on Friday, November 22, 2019, from 4 to 6 pm, at the Radisson Collection Old Mill Hotel, where this event was held, jointly organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the German Chamber of Commerce in Serbia.
The discussion of the Forum for Strategic Studies “Serbia’s Foreign Policy in the World in Turmoil” consisted of a presentation on a given topic by associates of the Forum for Strategic Studies, followed by a public discussion on the topic. Presentations on the topic of Serbian foreign policy were first presented by Dr. Neven Cvetićanin, Senior Research Associate at Institute of Social Sciences and President of the Forum for Strategic Studies, Ambassador Dr. Duško Lopandić from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Serbia and Ambassador Dr. Srećko Đukić, member of the Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia (EMINS).
In the presentations and discussion that followed, the strategic directions of the foreign policy of the Republic of Serbia were discussed, as well as the importance of research organizations and think tanks for the preparation of credible and useful analyzes in the field of foreign policy, international relations and geopolitics, so that decision makers have a credible scientific platform for their decisions. The event attracted significant attention of the audience and was very well attended, so the audience, in a full discussion hall, actively participated in the discussion. The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps in Serbia, as well as members of state, scientific and academic institutions.
